Our Story.

We're co-authors, parents to a newborn baby girl, and people who like to plan way too far ahead! Even though our daughter wont be reading for some time to come, she is the very reason we began working on Telli.The thought of her growing up on silly books about a famished caterpillar, kidnapped monkey, and a bear with an eating disorder didn't quite sit right with us. So, we set out to create a book that could teach, entertain, inspire, and stretch her brain.Telli is something we poured hundreds of hours into, while pregnant with our baby. Some nights, we worked feverishly into the early hours of the morning to get volume 1 done in time by the deadline we set for ourselves. There were definitely moments we felt like quitting as we worked through pregnancy nausea, heartburn, back pain, coding problems, formatting issues, and crafting every image while translating the entire book for Spanish speakers. Nonetheless, we overcame every roadblock and made it happen, together.We hope you and your little one enjoy reading a copy of Telli together, just as much as we will with our daughter once she starts reading.
